Thanks Provis and scchua
Enjoyable, though in 7d I couldn’t get away from “abuse” as a noun, so couldn’t see “treat”.
Thanks, scchua. I agree with you: a nicely constructed Quiptic with some fine surfaces. I liked PROPAGANDA in particular, and said a bad word when I finally got CLUTCH.
Thank you too to Provis. I’ve never attempted her puzzles in the FT, but invariably enjoy her crosswords in this part of the cruciverbal world.
Thanks to Provis & scchua.
Good Quiptic, like KD, I struggled to get CLUTCH before the PDM.
Thanks Provis and scchua.
Had no trouble with CLUTCH since I drive an automatic, but it took me a while to get ASSEMBLES.
I did like CONFIDENCE and PROPAGANDA.
In 6D, the “”Westminster” is required to distinguish MPs from MSPs, AMs and MLAs rather than just as an example.
Hi Alastair,
My “say Westminster” was to indicate that it was an example of a Parliament, as there are quite a few Parliaments around the world, each with their own MPs.
Thank you Provis and scchua
I enjoyed this Quiptic.
Needed help to parse CONFIDENCE.
